The Library Lounge is one of our proudest achievements. During the restoration of the hotel, the number of artifacts and antiques that were discovered constantly amazed hotel designer David Thompson. "It was like serendipity," he said. "We'd arrive the week before someone was about to trash things - an antique lamp for example. It was just like this was meant to be." |

This sentiment is no better illustrated than in the Library Lounge. It was while tearing out wallboard in the lounge that a beautiful brick fireplace was discovered. This fireplace is now the centerpiece of the lounge, and provides a warm and inviting atmosphere for intimate get-togethers.
You can also sidle up to the bar, a replica of the original with its richly carved oak and brass fittings, or enjoy the sites and sounds of Nelson from the outdoor patio. The Library Lounge is a beautiful testimonial to the original splendor of the hotel, and we hope you take the time to enjoy its very special character.
